Community visits

Community visits include a selection of programming that is tailored to your community and draw from the WE SHARE THE SAME SKY framework. Options include but are not limited to: seminars for educators and students, writing workshops, art-based family history programming, discussion groups, and multimedia storytelling. A minimum of three events are required to fit into this model. These tend to be a mixture of in-person and virtual events. Past programs have been held at places such as Duquesne University, The Peabody Institute Library, The Holocaust Memorial Museum of San Antonio, and Temple Israel of Hollywood. You will find the three types of programming below. Please email with questions about availability and pricing.

Scholar-in-residence: A presentation-focused approach that bring the audience in through group learning and discussion

Artist-in-residence: An art-based approach that brings a visual component into the community. Some sort of gallery space is required (what this means is up to you!)

Storyteller-in-residence: A workshop-based approach that gets community members telling their own stories
