We Share The Same Sky began as a self-funded documentary project back in 2009 when I was 20 years. My ability to spend so much time with my grandmother’s story was only possible at that young age because of the generous support of the community that found meaning in Hana’s story. Over the years the project has grown up into an award-winning podcast, book and traveling museum exhibition — all which are studied by teachers and students alike.
